Thursday, 31 May 2018, is a special day at the Saltz restaurant – a day to celebrate white asparagus. On this evening, you can enjoy an exclusive 6-course asparagus dinner created by Julian Mai, who uses only the freshest “white gold” sourced directly from Baden-Württemberg, a region famous for this wonderful product. Greengrocer Caspar Ruetz will be on hand throughout the evening to share a wealth of interesting information about this exquisite vegetable.

Inspiring, unconventional design

Rolf Sachs has created a concept that blurs the lines between the worlds of art and design. His aim is to surprise the viewer through his conceptual approach and inspire them to see the world from a different perspective. For the interior of the Saltz restaurant, he has repurposed elements from the Swiss landscape and used cultural references as his source of inspiration.

The perfect accompaniment to every dish

The wines served at the Saltz restaurant are presented to guests in six wine cabinets in the entrance area. Swiss wines are the main focus, and are complemented by rarities and niche products from Europe and a varying selection of open wines.

Life is too short to make compromises: taste the unique Swiss “Oona Caviar N°103 – traditionnel” from the Tropenhaus Frutigen at Bernese Oberland in our Saltz restaurant. Enjoy a 2-course lunch including mineral water and coffee for CHF 54.00 per person. Lunch is served from Monday to Saturday from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm. You can choose between two starters and two or three main courses, all made using regional products. You will be pleasantly surprised.
