On Monday, 16 March 2020, Switzerland’s Federal Council declared an “extraordinary situation”, thus expanding the measures for containing the coronavirus pandemic. The concluded rulings also apply to the Dolder Grand.

First of all, we are pleased to inform you that the Dolder Grand will remain open.
The health of our guests and employees is our highest priority. It is of utmost importance to us that we seamlessly implement the concluded rulings and provide the authorities with the best support we can in these difficult times. The measures will affect the service we are able to provide.

All-day dining restaurant

The Saltz restaurant, designed by artist Rolf Sachs, exudes a unique atmosphere of relaxed familiarity combined with an air of understated opulence. It is a place in which guests can question their preconceptions and see things from a completely new perspective. Our Chef à la carte Julian Mai has created a menu of uncomplicated sophistication, which is characteristic of the simple yet refined approach he takes to cooking and his belief in using regional ingredients and specialities. Dessert lovers will enjoy the unique creations of Pastry Chef Christian Hümbs. The Saltz restaurant has been awarded 14 GaultMillau points.

Culinary delights at home

Whether it’s for your lunch break while working from home or a delicious brunch at the weekend, you can now take home the delicious patisserie from star pastry chef Christian Hümbs and Dolder Hotel Classics like Caesar Salad or steak tatar from Saltz restaurant. The finest chocolates made by Chef Fine Dining Heiko Nieder are also available. From 1 April you can enjoy as well the flavours of the Arabian Nights created by Oriental Chef de Cuisine Firas El-Borji.

Dear Guests

Based on the Swiss Federal Council’s decision of Monday, 16 March 2020, and the cantonal regulation to help contain COVID-19, the event “Brasserie Colette Tim Raue meets Saltz reloaded” from 1 to 4 April has been cancelled.
Please cancel your existing reservations directly via the email with the reservation confirmation.
The payment, that has been made in advance, will then be refunded to you.

The perfect accompaniment to every dish

The wines served at the Saltz restaurant are presented to guests in six wine cabinets in the entrance area. Swiss wines are the main focus, and are complemented by rarities and niche products from Europe and a varying selection of open wines.

In the summer, the large panoramic sun terrace invites you to dine in the open air. The lounge area is the perfect place for drinks, a glass of wine or snacks.

Due to the current situation restaurant Saltz will be closed from Tuesday, 17 March 2020, to Sunday, 19 April 2020.

The restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday.

Breakfast: 6.30 am to 10.30 am
Lunch: 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm
Dinner: 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm
Sunday brunch (Garden Salons): 11.30 am to 2.30 pm
Sunday brunch (Saltz): 12.00 pm to 2.30 pm
