ARRIVAL AT THE DOLDER GRAND

How do I get to the Dolder Grand?

The Dolder Grand is located in a quiet area above Zurich, just a few minutes from the city center.

Arrival by car:
Enter “Kurhausstrasse 65, 8032 Zurich” into your navigation device. Paid parking and an underground garage are available on-site.

Arrival by public transport:
From Zurich Main Station (HB), take tram no. 3 or 8 to “Römerhof”, then continue with the Dolderbahn to the final stop “Dolder”. From there, it’s just a short walk to the hotel.

Arrival from Zurich Airport:
The hotel is about 20 minutes away by car or taxi. We are happy to organize a limousine service upon request.

Is it possible to drive up directly in front of the hotel?

You can drive directly up to the hotel. Our valet service is guaranteed for hotel guests and available for day guests depending on availability. Alternatively, our parking garage with direct hotel access is available. It offers 240 spaces. Rates are CHF 4.00 per hour and a maximum of CHF 40.00 per 24 hours. No advance reservation is required.

How do I get to the city centre?

Our hotel shuttle takes you to the city center every hour. Current departure times can be found here: Shuttle Service
Additionally, The Dolder Grand is directly connected to Zurich’s public transport system via the historic Dolderbahn.
We are also happy to organize a limousine or transfer service upon request. Our concierge team will gladly assist you

When is check-in?

Check-in is available from 3.00 pm.

When is check-out?

Check-out is by 12.00 pm.

A late check-out until 6.00 pm. is possible subject to availability and is charged at 50% of the room rate. Please contact our front desk team – we are happy to advise you.

Can I have my luggage stored?

We are happy to store your luggage free of charge – both before check-in and after check-out. Please approach our reception or concierge.

Kids Policy - offer for children

The Kids Room is open to children aged 3 to 12 on weekends and is supervised by a nanny on Saturdays and Sundays from 12.00 to 6.00 pm. From Monday to Friday, the room is accessible only with parental supervision and a key available via the concierge.

Spa access is granted to children aged 12 and over when accompanied by an adult.

The Adlisberg area and the city of Zurich offer many more family activity options – our concierge team will be happy to provide personalized recommendations.

Dog Policy - Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are warmly welcome. The fee is CHF 50.00 per night and pet. Please inform us in advance about your pet’s breed and name. Please note that your room will only be entered by our housekeeping team when the pet is not present or is under your supervision.
To offer your four-legged companion an unforgettable stay, a special dog menu is available via room service and in the Saltz restaurant.

ROOMS

Can rooms be connected to each other?

Yes, connecting rooms are available on request. Our reservations team will gladly inform you of the options and provide personal advice.

Do you offer twin beds?

Our rooms are equipped with queen- or king-size beds. Upon request, we are happy to prepare the beds with separate mattresses. Please inform us of your preference when booking.

Is the minibar included?

Minibar items are chargeable. Mineral water and a Nespresso coffee machine are complimentary. A tea set is available upon request – please inform us when booking or at reception.

Do you offer a laundry service?

Yes, we offer a professional laundry and ironing service.

How long is the room service available?

Room service is available 24/7. Between 10.30 pm. and 7.00 am., a special night menu is served.

Are adapters available in the room?

An adapter is provided in your minibar area. Additional adapters are available upon request from our housekeeping team.

SPA

When is the Dolder Grand Spa open?

The spa area is open daily from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm The fitness area is accessible 24/7 for hotel guests. Treatments are available from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm.

Can I use the spa before check-in or after check-out?

Yes, hotel guests may use the spa on both the day of arrival and the day of departure during regular opening hours.

Are children welcome in the spa?

We welcome children aged 12 and above accompanied by an adult in the Dolder Grand Spa:

  • From age 12: Swimming pool, Aqua Zone, steam bath, sanarium, workout classes, treatments
  • From age 16: Access to the nude areas (Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Spa)
Can I take part in fitness classes as a hotel guest?

Yes, participation in group fitness classes is free of charge. Early registration is recommended.

Is there an outdoor pool?

The outdoor area includes a whirlpool with three pools. For swimming, we recommend the 25-meter indoor pool in the Aqua Zone.

What temperatures do the pools have?
  • 25-meter swimming pool: approx. 28°C
  • Indoor whirlpool: approx. 36°C
  • Outdoor whirlpools: approx. 15°C / 36°C / 39°C
Until when can I cancel spa treatments free of charge?

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Later cancellations will be fully charged.

Is nudity mandatory in textile-free areas?

Yes, swimwear is not permitted in the nude areas (Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Spa). Access is from 16 years of age.

Can the Day Spa Credit be redeemed at the Spa Café?

The Day Spa Credit can be used exclusively for spa treatments and does not apply to purchases at the Spa Café or Spa Shop. The credit is non-transferable and cannot be accumulated.

Can group courses be booked before the course schedule is published?

No, the class schedule is published every Sunday for the week after next. Registration is only possible after publication.

We accept all major payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, cash, and selected cryptocurrencies. For certain reservations, prepayment is required.

Can I bring my own wine?

Yes, a corkage fee applies. Please notify us in advance by email.

Are children welcome in the restaurants?

Children are warmly welcome in all our restaurants. We offer a special children’s menu. High chairs are available at Saltz. Due to the seating layout, children are only admitted to Mikuriya from the age of 12.

Are dogs allowed in the restaurants?

Dogs are welcome in all our restaurants. At Saltz, we offer a special dog menu. As we only allow one dog at a time in The Restaurant, please inform us of your visit in advance. Only assistance dogs are allowed in the Spa Café to maintain a calm atmosphere.

Which restaurants are barrier-free?

With the exception of Restaurant blooms and select pop-up concepts (depending on location), all restaurants are barrier-free.

Are outdoor seating areas available at the restaurants?

When the weather is fine, guests can enjoy the lovely terraces of Restaurant Saltz, our pop-up venue, and the Canvas Bar & Lounge. Restaurant blooms is a seasonal outdoor dining experience set amidst nature. The Spa Café also features a terrace, reserved exclusively for hotel and Day Spa guests

Is there music or live performances in the Canvas Bar & Lounge?

Yes, live music is played on Fridays and Saturdays from 7.00 pm.

How do I get to the Mikuriya?

If you hold a booking for our Mikuriya restaurant, the meeting point is in our hotel lobby where you will be personally greeted and accompanied to the dining venue.

In case of bad weather, what happens to my reservation at blooms?

If the weather forecast doesn’t permit outdoor service, you will be contacted the day before your reservation to find an alternative date – or, if preferred, to rebook to another venue.

How do I get to blooms?

Restaurant blooms is located on the third floor of the Golf Wing.

How often does the pop-up concept change?

The pop-up concept changes regularly – typically, four different concepts are offered throughout the year. Details are available on our website or via newsletter.

EVENTS & OCCASIONS

Can the menus for events be adapted to special dietary requirements?

Our chef is happy to accommodate allergies, intolerances, or special diets. Menus are created in close consultation with you.

Are the event and banqueting rooms barrier-free?

Yes, all event spaces and restrooms are fully barrier-free.

What payment terms apply to event or catering bookings?

For booked events, a 100% prepayment is required three months in advance. The final invoice is due within 30 days after the event.

Can I book a room for a meeting or a confidential discussion at short notice?

Yes, our breakout rooms for up to 14 people are ideal for short meetings or confidential calls. Our events team is happy to provide availability details.

Does the hotel offer special arrangements for birthdays or anniversaries?

Yes, for example, with our birthday package, we can tailor your celebration to your wishes. Please contact our events team for more information.

How do I book a civil or free wedding ceremony at the Dolder Grand?

Civil weddings must be booked directly through Zurich’s registry office. Once you have a confirmed date, we will coordinate the rest with you. Symbolic ceremonies and weddings can be organized directly with our events team. More information: City of Zurich – Weddings at The Dolder Grand

Is a photo shoot for wedding couples possible at the Dolder Grand?

Our location is exclusively available to couples who celebrate their wedding with us. We are happy to show these guests the best photo spots in and around the hotel.

How can I have material delivered for an event?

Deliveries are made via our receiving department. We accept deliveries from trucks up to 13 meters long and 3.8 meters high. Please address shipments as follows:
