We owe the cherished tradition of Afternoon Tea to the small hunger that Anna Maria Russell, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, felt one late afternoon in 1840.
At The Dolder Grand, this quintessentially British ritual is reinterpreted with elegance – featuring a refined selection of the finest teas, delicate sandwiches, and a savoury selection created by Sous Chef Bianca Jessner, complemented by freshly baked scones and exquisite pastries crafted by Chef Pâtissière Katrin Wagenblast.
Choose between the classic or vegetarian Afternoon Tea and enhance your experience with oysters, caviar, or champagne.
HIGHLIGHT
As a special highlight, Marco D’Andrea, Chef Patissier at the renowned The Fontenay in Hamburg and Pastry Chef of the Year 2020, will prepare his Afternoon Tea delicacies at the Dolder Grand from 16 to 18 January 2026. In return, the Patissiere of the Dolder Grand will travel to Hamburg from 24 to 25 January 2026 to present her tea ceremony at The Fontenay.
