At the Fondation Beyeler, a retrospective of Ruth Asawa (1926–2013) is on view for the first time in Europe. The American artist of Japanese descent transformed the simplest materials into captivating objects, dissolving the boundaries between abstraction and figuration, art and craft, action and contemplation. The museum, which unites art, architecture and nature, provides the ideal setting for this exhibition.

The museum is open from Monday to Sunday from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, and on Wednesdays until 8.00 pm.
