Christmas
in Zurich

The festive season at the Dolder Grand is all about art, gastronomy and special encounters. Belgian designer Charles Kaisin returns, transforming the hotel with 1,200 golden origami doves: at the Dolder Grand Spa, they float as a poetic installation, while in the Canvas Bar & Lounge, they form a spiral Christmas tree. The season is complemented by The Grand Afternoon Tea and indulgent moments at the Krug Chalet “Fondue Pop-up”.

Artful Lightness

During the Christmas season, Belgian designer Charles Kaisin transforms the spa area of the Dolder Grand into a floating composition of 1,200 golden origami doves. The freely suspended figures form the silhouette of a contemporary Christmas tree, gently swaying with every movement – a silent dance of hope and new beginnings.

Kaisin, internationally renowned for his work at the intersection of design, art and architecture, incorporates origami as a central element of his art. With his installation at the Dolder Grand, he creates a festive symbol filled with lightness, peace and inspiration.
