  • Viktor Röthlin

Viktor Röthlin has lived by the motto “Mens sana in corpore sano” for many years – whether during his time as a top athlete with a marathon personal best time of 2:07:23 hours, or today in his private life as a father and entrepreneur. After winning the silver medal at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg, the bronze medal at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, and an Olympic diploma at the 2008 Olympic Games in Peking, Röthlin suffered two pulmonary embolisms in quick succession in 2009. From the intensive care unit, he fought his way back to win the gold medal at the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona. He retired from competitive running in 2014 after achieving an excellent fifth place at the European Championships in Zurich, in his home country of Switzerland. Since retiring from competitions, Röthlin, who is a licensed physiotherapist, now trains and inspires other people: he works every day to make sure that countless others can benefit from a healthy mind in a healthy body.
