New all-day dining restaurant
The new Saltz restaurant, designed by artist Rolf Sachs, exudes a unique atmosphere of relaxed familiarity combined with an air of understated opulence. It is a place in which guests can question their preconceptions and see things from a completely new perspective. Our Chef à la carte, Patrick Hetz, has created a menu of uncomplicated sophistication, which is characteristic of the simple yet refined approach he takes to cooking and his belief in using regional ingredients and specialities. Guests in the Saltz Bar can enjoy dinner drinks and snacks in a lively and informal atmosphere.

Inspiring, unconventional design
Rolf Sachs has created a concept that blurs the lines between the worlds of art and design. His aim is to surprise the viewer through his conceptual approach and inspire them to see the world from a different perspective. For the interior of the Saltz restaurant, he has repurposed elements from the Swiss landscape and used cultural references as his source of inspiration.
Chef à la carte
Patrick Hetz has worked at the Dolder Grand since September 2010. Both as Sous-chef banquet and then as Chef à la carte, he has, since February 2012, been instrumental in defining the cuisine served in the Garden Restaurant, which was awarded 14 GaultMillau points in the autumn of 2015. For the Saltz restaurant, he has created an entirely new menu inspired by the interior design of the restaurant.
The perfect accompaniment to every dish
The wines served at the Saltz restaurant are presented to guests in six wine cabinets in the entrance area. Swiss wines are the main focus, and are complemented by rarities and niche products from Europe and a varying selection of open wines.
Panoramic sun terrace
In the summer, the large panoramic sun terrace invites you to dine in the open air. The lounge area is the perfect place for drinks, a glass of wine or snacks.
An exquisite selection of dinner drinks
Our guests can enjoy a range of innovative drinks and sophisticated pre-dinner cocktail classics which are made almost exclusively with Swiss ingredients. We also offer a selection of excellent Swiss fruit brandies, while beers brewed by regional and even some local microbreweries will satisfy the most discerning of beer drinkers.

Culinary sneak peek
Enjoy a 2-course lunch including mineral water and coffee for CHF 54.00 per person. Lunch is served from Monday to Saturday from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm. You can choose between two starters and two or three main courses, all made using regional products. You will be pleasantly surprised.
